This project included replacing traditional evergreen hedged shrubs with sustainable drought tolerant plantings such as agaves, succulents, and complimentary perennials. The planter beds were converted to drip irrigation to reduce water use and the richly colored rock creates another visual element of texture and interest. Andrea Loosen Landscape Design managed all aspects of the project from the landscape plan to hardscape installation.

"Andrea designed and managed the installation of our landscape makeover. We told her that we were interested in a mostly drought tolerant landscape mixed with color, a variety of perennials and succulents. She designed a concept that was exactly what we had in mind. We wanted to be involved in the process of choosing the specific trees and shrubs so we visited the nurseries together to finalize all the plant selections. Andrea understood the characteristics of the plants and how they would fit together in our landscape plan so she guided our decisions at the nurseries. She was present during the installation to assure all the trees and plants were placed correctly and fulfilled the design characteristics of the overall plan.
Our new landscaping looks great. We were totally satisfied with Andrea's work. It's always a pleasure to work with a true professional.”
